BCOA National Specialty 2008
The Specialty was held in Sacremento California from April 13 - 20/08.
We had an awesome time.
Roomed wtih Great friends and met many new ones.
We brought down a total of 11 dogs (3 puppies that were going new homes) and Guideon for Cherie as we had borrowed a trailer from friends of our Rita & Doug O'halloran.
We entered the ASFA trails hoping to do well as we know our girls are good runners and the show - well.... that you can never count on <gg>
To our surpize we did very well - more then we could have ever hoped for!
There were 3 open stakes of Borzois, 1 FCH and 1 Veteran Stake total of 37 borzoi..
Tri was in the 1st stake and she placed 3rd.
Afrosenia was in the 3rd stake - but having spent the last 5 months with Kris Brolin she kinda got a bit chunky <gg> and placed about 7th. But our little Bitsey ran her heart out - she took 1st in her stake, won the run off for the Open stake and then ran off for BEST of BREED - and oh my goodness - she WON!!!!! Greg and I were standing there in total disbelief. There were a lot of great running dogs and it was soooooo good to see so many running Borzois in one place.
I had also entered the girls (Bitsey & Tri) to represent "Tovaritch Kennel" in both the Breeder and the Kennel Stakes - there were a total of 8 entries here & much to our surpize we found out while we were having the BOB picture taken that we also won that.
We are so very proud of our girls!!
